PORTA Trust in the U.K.

Since it’s inauguration as a registered charity in 1997, PORTA Trust has been able to offer large screen presentation of Christian videos and films to churches and fellowships in the North of England & North Wales as an aid in furtherance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and of Outreach in local communities.

PORTA Trust in Portugal

Prior to obtaining charity status, we had assisted over a number of years the Christian work that the Northern Portuguese missionaries and Pastors were seeking to do.
We have shown the “Jesus” film, which is based on the Gospel Of Luke, in many small towns and villages in the northern hill country.
In the remote territory of the north we have taken this Gospel to agricultural people, poor coastal fishing communities and gypsy groups, besides some of the larger towns.
Using this film, and other Christian films and videos, as a means of evangelism and working among local pastors, evangelists and missionaries, we have seen the Lord answer prayer in many different situations.

SPIRITUAL SUPPORT

Another aspect of PORTA’s ministry is one of encouragement. Many pastors, evangelists and missionaries work in isolation for much of the year. By our visiting and spending time with them and their families they are greatly encouraged. One pastor commented, “The Jesus film achieved in one night what would have taken me over a year to accomplish in this village”.
